What's New at Rose Tree Goldens?

2021 - Off to a GReat start with Ginny & Romeo! I was so excited to hand over Romeo's lead to the fabulous Ginny Kincer at the start of the year to see what these two could do together as a specials team. What a ride it's been so far! Grand Champion with 5 majors in just 6 weekends of showing, multiple Group placements, Best In Specialty Show at the Sandlapper Golden Retriever Club specialty, a Top 10 golden every month so far this year, all systems. Many Best of Breeds, JAMs, and Select Dog awards from very respected breeder and all breed judges alike. Many smiles and happy tears, and most importantly many new friendships earned along the way! Thank you to all of those who have encouraged me to go for my dreams and for cheering us on along this year. Next stop for Romeo: showing at the Westminster Kennel Club in June...a lifetime dream of mine that I am so grateful to be experiencing!

11.8.2020 - New American Champion Tesla! So thrilled to announce that Lexie Ditlow handled Tesla to a finishing 4 point major, smack dab in the middle of COVID with huge entry numbers, going Winners Bitch at the Salisbury Kennel Club show in Maryland under judge Rachal Sager. We are overjoyed to see this deserving girl finish her AKC championship.

2.15.20 - Tesla wins a 5 point major in West friendship, MD by going WB & BOW on the heels of Westminster! Wow, what an exciting feeling to be standing ringside for that one. Thank you to judge Elaine Lessig for finding Tesla in a gorgeous line up of almost 30 bitches, and to handler Lexie Ditlow who was piloting Tess for the very first time while her regular handler is out on maternity leave. Tesla is now sitting at 12 points and is major pointed. One more major to go and this pretty girl is a champion...so exciting!!

12.12.19 - Drum roll please...

Introducing: AmCH Dalane Rose Tree Whirlwind Romance RN CA CGC!

We have a new champion in the house! Romeo finished his AKC championship in high style during the Royal Canin cluster in Florida, going Best of Breed from the classes in an entry of 149 GORGEOUS goldens, including almost 50 specials with several of the nation's top ranked dogs. He finished up his remarkable day by making the cut in a phenomenal Sporting Group line up that boasted multiple #1 ranked dogs. What an exciting journey this young boy has taken us on in such a short time. We cannot wait to continue the fun with Romeo in 2020. Huge thank yous to handler Ginny Kincer for finishing our boy's championship and to judge Alessandra Folz for this honor!

12.4.19 - 12.6.19: Tesla had quite the three day run at the Winter Blast Cluster shows in Oaks, PA! All three days were in the 12-18 month class. Wednesday Tess went Winners Bitch, Best of Winners, and Best Opposite Sex to her Grandpa Tank! Thursday she again went Winners Bitch and onto Best Opposite Sex to Tank. Friday she ended her show cluster in style by going Winners Bitch, Best of Winners, and onto Best Of Breed over specials!! Just two dogs short of  major...darn! She made it down to the final line up in Sporting Group against some VERY nice dogs and held her own in the big league. Not even 18 months old and the judges are consistently finding her. I just LOVE our spunky girl. She has so much ring presence and has that "look at me" factor. Go Tesla!

November was the month of AKC conformation placements and suffix titles here at Rose Tree! Tesla is sporting two new titles... CGCA and TKN (Community Canine & Trick Dog Novice) and won her huge 12-18 month class at the AKC National Dog Show in Oaks, PA. Romeo went big and earned his RN, CA, and CGC (Rally Novice, Course Ability, & Canine Good Citizen) titles in two days down in Perry, GA while also placing three days straight in the Open Dog conformation class! Thank you Ginny Kincer and Cindy Price for your help as always. Go #TeamRTG #TeamRomeo #TeamTesla

Someone pinch me!!! ROMEO...Dalane Rose Tree Whirlwind Romance...goes 3rd in Open Dog at the 2019 GRCA National Specialty! I am so beyond amazed at this boy and grateful for all the hard work that everyone has put in to get us here...Courtney for transforming Romeo into a show dog, Ginny for taking the lead and making his presence known to the world, Romeo's breeder Jane for having faith in me, and our friends who have supported me and my dog from the start. I knew there was something special about this boy when I laid eyes on him and I feel so blessed to call him mine. What a true underdog story for both of us and we just keep on keepin' on! So excited to get our names out there with this boy. He is so deserving and absolutely LOVES the attention. #TeamRomeo

9.10.19- Tesla says "I'm still doing the show dog thing, too!" ;) Miss Tess has been busy winning her class at almost every show she's been entered in, including the Garden State GR Club Specialty. She was also awarded a major RWB at Ludwig's Corner! My girl is coming into her own and catching the judges' eye consistenty from the puppy classes. Cannot wait to see how Tesla looks once she matures a bit!

Wow wow wow...Romeo continues to shine! WD & BOW in Morristown, NJ in three straight shows for 3 more points (9.1.19 & 9.2.19); WD in Macungie, PA for 1 point on 9.14.19 - officially singled out in just over a month of showing! Romeo then took a few weeks off to be a couch potato before heading off with Ginny Kincer in early October to prep for the GRCA National in California. In their first weekend out together, Romeo earned himself a 3 point major down in TN! He now just needs one 3pt major to finish his AKC championship with extremely limited showing. Good luck at the GRCA National Team Romeo!

8.18.19 - Romeo had a great weekend, going Winners Dog & Best of Winners three days in a row in Apalachin, NY for 3 more points with Courtney! Thank you to judges Sandy Anderson, Joy Brewster, and Judy Harrington for putting our boy up. Photo is from early August when Romeo won BOB in NJ.

Thank you to judge Victoria Seiler-Cushman for finding Tesla in a nice line up of promising youngsters and thank you to LIGRC for putting on such a nice show.

Tesla also earned her Canine Good Citizen title in January. This little girl is a blast and keeps things fun

12.15.18 - Tesla made her presence known with the big dogs in her very first regular AKC show by going WINNERS BITCH at 6 months and 1 week old from the 6-9 month class while owner-handled for her first point! Our whole team is just so proud of this girl and how well she is doing at such a young age. She really just knows what to do naturally and makes my job easy as a novice owner-handler. What a fun ride so far. I cannot wait to see what lies ahead for the two of us. Thank you to judge Kathryn Leonhardt for finding my baby girl out of some very nice competition.

12.1.18 / 12.2.18 - After taking November off to just enjoy being a puppy, Tesla was back with style & had a fabulous last weekend in AKC 4-6 Puppy at the West Friendship show cluster in Maryland. Saturday she went BOB, Group 1, and on to Best Puppy In Show beating out 29 other puppies with two sporting group specialties that day!! Sunday she was at it again going BOB and Group 1 in another huge Sporting Group line up. What a great finale to her 4-6 puppy career! Thank you so much to judges Steve Herman and Wendy Willhauck for finding my puppy out of such a lovely bunch. On to bigger things in the 6-9 class!

10.27.18 / 10.28.18 - Look at those gorgeous rosettes! TESLA does it again by going Best Puppy In Show TWICE and Reserve Best Puppy In Show FOUR times at the local ICKC show this weekend! She was up against some very nice puppies and we are so proud of her. She has been in the ribbons every time she has shown and has such a bright future ahead. I love being at the other end of her lead. Go Tesla Go!

10.27.18 - JAZZ - Rose Tree's That Girl is On Fire - competed against some very nice goldens and wins the Bred By class, then goes Winners Bitch, Best of Winners, Best of Breed, and onto a Group 1 with a large amount of competition at the local International show this weekend! 10.20.18 - TESLA Best of Breed in 4-6 Puppy at the Gloucester County Kennel Club show today! Thank you to judge Priscilla Gabosch for finding my goldens in the line up multiple times this year, and to my mom and my son Christopher who tagged along to keep me company for the day at the show :)

10.14.18 - Well that is a good start to things! TESLA goes Best of Breed and on to win a Group 1 in 4-6mth Beginner Puppy at her first AKC show - the Catonsville KC Cluster in Westminster, MD! So exciting for our little peanut and hopefully just a taste of what lies ahead for her. Thank you to judge Randy Garren for finding Tess in a very nice line up of golden puppies and then a large class of beautiful sporting group puppies!

9.2.18 - DAWKINS impressed the judges again at another ICKC show cluster, earning six Best of Breeds, six Group 1's, three more Best Puppy In Show awards and a Reserve Best Puppy In Show! In just two weekends of showing, Dawkins is currently the #1 Golden Retriever in ICKC and the #4 All Breed Puppy... wow! Way to go handsome boy. We are so proud of all you have accomplished in such a short time

8.4.18 - Introducing Libertybelles Zoom Zoom Here We Go! ...aka TESLA.

This gorgeous girl comes to us from a fellow Lenape GR Club member and boasts some of my favorite pedigree lines behind her. With big paws to fill (mom is an AKC Champion and dad is a AKC Grand Champion), Tesla has some work ahead of her! We have big plans for this little cutie and cannot wait to see where this journey takes us. Check back to keep up with Tesla's progress in the show ring.

6.23.18 - DAWKINS from the Game Litter was entered into a local ICKC Dog Show and impressed the judges against some really nice competition, going Best Puppy in Show in 2 out of 4 shows and earning his IntBA (International Baby Puppy) Championship! Thank you to judges Linda Porch and Priscilla Gabosch for putting him up, and for the kind words you had to say about him. Dawkins was also awarded Reserve Best Puppy In Show in the remaining 2 shows! We are so proud of how well he did with absolutely no handling prep work beforehand. Way to go Team Dawkins! (shown to the left in a free stack with all of his win ribbons from the shows that day. How exciting!

She placed 2nd out of 8 puppies in her Sporting Group Puppy Sweeps class in the morning and 2nd in her match show class of 4 goldens in the afternoon with barely any handling practice beforehand. Thank you LVKC and judges Deb Rudert & Cindy Meyer!

7.2.17 - TILLY earned her National Jr & International Jr titles at the IABCA show in MD and is now 'NAT JR CH INT JR CH Moonlit Meadows A Whale Of A Tale'. She had three Group 1's and a Group 2 placement over the weekend. It was a great experience for her first time in the show ring.

10.24.16 - Nala earned her AKC CGC title and is now 'NAT JR CH INT JR CH Rose Tree's Circle of Life CGC'. Obtaining this title was a lot of fun for both of us!

06.30.15 - Rose Tree's Circle of Life is a new Jr Champion!

NALA competed on June 27th & 28th at the IABCA State Seiger in Allentown. She won best Of Breed Puppy twice and took first place in Sporting Group Puppy twice as well. We are extremely proud of our girl and happy to announce that she earned her National Jr & International JR CH titles. Most importantly, she had a BLAST and certainly enjoyed the show ring. Great job, Nala!
